PRAISE GOD FOR:

INDIANS OF CANADA:  There are many encouraging signs of growth and renewal in the native evangelical community. A contextualized Church is beginning to flourish. (Op. World)

SIERRA LEONE, AFRICA:  Update:  We praise the Lord for His answer to our many prayers these past two years.  All three countries — Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone — are Ebola free. (Harrigan)

BRAZIL:  In 2010, Brazil sent nearly 2,000 Protestant, Independent, and Anglican missionaries.  These missionaries are wedding Latin American passion and dynamism to their increasing experience and cross-cultural awareness on the field. (Operation World)

PLEASE INTERCEDE THIS WEEK FOR:

PAKISTAN:  Pakistan’s Church is gravely imperiled.  Please pray.  On Resurrection Sunday, March 27, Christians gathered in a Lahore park.  An Islamic militant entered their midst and blew himself up beside children’s amusement rides, killing at least 70 people and critically injuring at least 138.  An Islamic Emirate released a statement, “Only Islamic rituals can be celebrated in an Islamic country.”

THAILAND:  Jim Green and Irv Klaschus, JESUS film staff men, are traveling to Chang Mai April 1-11 for two conferences.   Pray for their vision: to have by year 2020 “an indigenous evangelistic audio-vision tool for every one of the Least Evangelized Mega Peoples, so that all can clearly see and understand the gospel message and embrace it as their own.” (Green)

USA:  Pray for the State of Georgia.  Governor Nathan Deal has vetoed his state’s “Religion Freedom Bill.”   The Bill would have protected pastors, ministry leaders, churches, and affiliated religious organizations from civil suits or discrimination charges if they were to withhold their services based on deeply-held religious beliefs.  Pray for our government! WORLD:  Pray for preparations for Campus Crusade for Christ’s Worldwide Day of Prayer on April 16.  Around 900 missionaries will gather for the day to pray at our World Headquarters.  National missionaries will gather to pray on this same day in at least 150 countries. (CRU)

LOS INDIGENAS CANADIENDES: Hay muchos signos alentadores de crecimiento y renovación en la comunidad evangélica nativa. Una Iglesia contextualizada está empezando a florecer. (OM)

PAKISTÁN: La Iglesia de Pakistán está en un peligro grave. Por favor, oren. El Domingo de Resurrección, este 27 de marzo, cristianos se reunieron en un parque de Lahore. Un militante islámico entró en medio de ellos y se inmoló a sí mismo a la vista incrédula de muchos niños, matando al menos a 70 personas e hiriendo de gravedad al menos a 138. Un Emirato Islámico emitió un comunicado diciendo: “Solo se celebran rituales islámicos en un país islámico.”

TAILANDIA: Jim Green e Irv Klaschus, trabajadores de la película “Jesús,” están viajando a Chang Mai del 1 al 11 de abril a realizar dos conferencias. Oren por la visión que ellos tienen: Tener para el año 2020 “una herramienta evangelística autóctona de audio y video para cada uno de los mega grupos menos alcanzados del mundo,” para que puedan ver y entender con claridad el mensaje del evangelio y abrazarlo como propio.” (Green)

EE.UU.: Ore por el Estado de Georgia. El gobernador Nathan Deal ha vetado la ley de las organizaciones religiosas llamado “Religión Libertad Bill.” El proyecto de ley habría protegido a los pastores, líderes de ministerios, iglesias y afiliadas, de juicios civiles y cargas discriminatorias si trataran de impedir servicios basados en sus profundas y arraigadas creencias religiosas. ¡Oren por nuestro gobierno! EL MUNDO: Oren por los preparativos de la Cruzada Estudiantil para Cristo para el “Día Mundial de Oración” este próximo 16 de abril. Alrededor de 900 misioneros se reunirán para orar ese día en nuestra Sede Mundial. Los misioneros de cada país en donde existe una filial de la Cruzada (alrededor de 150 países en el mundo) se reunirán también para orar ese mismo día. (CRU)
