World Partners welcomes Rev. Joe Johns as the new Director of Strategic Partnerships. He will work alongside
Rev. Dave Mann, the current director of Strategic Partnerships, to transition to that role through the summer
of 2022. Joe will also work in conjunction with the other two World Partners co-directors, Rev. Rick Dugan
and Tami Swymeler.
Joe has a long history in the Missionary Church family, growing up at Avalon Missionary Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
He and his wife Stephanie have three sons, Joey, Jacob, and Jackson. Joe graduated from Taylor University
with degrees in Bible and Christian Formation.
Joe was an associate pastor and church planter at SummitRidge Community Church, a Young Adult Pastor at
Fellowship Missionary Church, a Missional Living Pastor at Fellowship Missionary Church, and Senior Pastor
at Fellowship Missionary Church, all in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Joe states, “My experiences and gifting uniquely equip me to help World Partners (and MCUSA) faithfully
move into God’s future. We face amazing challenges and opportunities in this era of mission, but serve a
God who is able. As my friends say in Swahili, “Mungo Anaweza,” God is able. I believe God is able and is
even now actively uniting His Church around the globe to powerfully release spiritual renewal via Gospel
disciple-making movements in unreached places, and even close to home. I look forward to partnering
with you in the months to come to pray and work for renewal in our time.”
The World Partners directors and office staff are excited about adding Joe to our team.
